I am a minor (17-1/2). My classmates say I do not need insurance to drive with an adult 25+ with my permit. I am reading the instructions and the only thing I see is that you need insurance when you take your driving test. I am in no rush; the only problem is that they are driving without insurance. Does anyone have a source stating what is true; I cannot seem to find the answer online.

Operating a vehicle in CA without insurance (which follows the car not necessarily the driver) is illegal and can lead to a suspension of license priveleges.

What shall I expect from the judge? Is there a possibility that I could receive additional (four days house arrest previously) jail time since I still have an alcohol class to attend still pending from the aggravated dui case? This is in Kentucky.

Expect the worst..then show and exhibit extreme sorry to the judge..whatever u get dont even begin to act like u didnt deserve it..They have u by the nuts…time to man up take the punishment and maybe ull calm ur azz down, seems like ur out of control and dont have any regard for the court, other ppl or urself. And thats how the judge will be viewing ur situation..Your not Paris Hilton..or Lindsy..
