Answers to Questions for the Stephen Tyrone Johns Summer Youth Leadership Ambassadors

In memory of Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has established a special program to inspire young people to uphold the ideals for which our colleague sacrificed his life. In July 2010, the Museum’s e-community was invited to ask questions to the inaugural class of the Stephen Tyrone Johns Youth Leadership Program. The students received great feedback and many positive comments, along with several questions about their participation in this program. This short video features their responses to some of the most frequently asked questions they received. A 5 min film I produced and filmed as part of the 2010 BBC News Festival. It was shown to the audience to set up an hour long discussion about the various attacks on the BBC over the past year, and about what the future of the BBC should look like. Included on the panel were the Conservative Shadow Culture Sec, Jeremy Hunt, and the head of BBC Global News, Richard Sambrook, but the disco was not for public consumption, so I haven’t included it here. This is what it is ALL about. Rena asked nothing from anyone but that they love each other–To survive 3 years and 41 days in Auschwitz and come out of that experience and speaking only of love, never hate, is a lesson for us all.
