I am in Tampa,Fl. I am serving a 3yr. probation sentice, for firearm charges. Prior to this charge, I only had a dui, and 1 bad check on my record. OK, here’s the thing, at the time I turned myself in, a drug test came back positive for meph. So before senticing I had to do random drug tests. One of them came back positive. So at the time of senticing the judge told me that if I tested positive again, I would be senticed to prison. I also have been having to test every week since then. I started in November. Last week my test read positive, so they are sending it to the lab. I already know that it is going to come back positive. You see because I have been an addict for 12yrs. I didn’t tell them that, nobody knows. I really want to stop, I was sure that the fear of going to prison, would be enough to make me quit, but I haven’t been able to. I’m not a bad person, and I don’t know what to do. Can you tell me what you think is going to happen, or give me any advice. I can’t afford lawyer

Sign yourself into a drug program ASAP. The first thing you have to do is get real and get healthy so get help. The court may see that you have taken the first step and rethink the jail time for as long as you are in treatment.

he got a ticket that said unlawful speeding in Tampa,Fl. what can he expect to happen?he has a dui charge from a year ago. yeah hes an idiot. But he still is a friend and needs advice. should he pay 800 for a lawyer? he cant get his liscense suspended (save yourself the typing and dont say “well he shouldnt be speeding then” it already happened.
