Police Get 4 More Days to Quiz Accused in India Probe

Perimeter Defense Solutions

Day three hundred thirty-six/365. "Homeland Security." Home security. Personal security. Car security systems. McCain’s ads declare that he believes we live in a dangerous world. That sells! We have a national obsession with security. And, there’s profit to be made in selling the feeling of safety and security.

Certainly, we need to take precautions. My home owner’s insurance includes a discount because I’ve installed deadbolts on both doors. That’s okay.

But, how much concern is enough? At what point do we forfeit human interaction because of our wariness? What happens to a community that has given up trust for the sake of being unreachable? What happens to a country that spends gobs of money on defense? How real is security, anyway?

We can resist the trend. Do things that promote community. Even global community.

MARINA POLICE LOG: Traffic stop finds DUI

240sx meet
dui violation

A picture of my weekly 240sx meet.

This is 5 photos stitched together. I stood on the top of a 3 ton moving truck that just happened to be there. I had a friend hand me my tripod up so I could do these long exposures.

i like shooting long exposure at car events because it puts the people out of focus. People always have silly looks on thier faces when they are trying to explain stuff to each other. (or act like the goof ball in the middle).
This was one of our larger meets. By the time I got my camera out half the people had left. We ended up going to the Japanese convienence store and then heading home.
We decided not to hit our usually canyon. The Police have been setting up "Smog Checks" at night. They basically pull you over and give you a ticket for everything "wrong" with your car.
Sound like a violation of cival rights?? Yeah, I am positive it is. Kinda like those DUI stops they have here in California. They are supposed to have "cause" before they can pull you over.

But I guess they don’t care about civil rights anymore.

If you are a Raleigh, NC area DWI Lawyer, then you understand the many ways that police officers test to check if someone is inebriated.   Prosecutors will use scientific testing to measure the amount of alcohol that the person has had as well as analyzing their breath using such devices as the infamous Breathalyzer.  Whether this is your first criminal offense in Raleigh, NC, you should call a DWI Lawyer in Raleigh, NC to represent you in court.

No matter what state you live in, although the laws may differ, the tests are pretty much the same.  DUI Raleigh alcohol tests prove if someone is actually intoxicated if their blood-alcohol concentration is over .08.  If you are at or over that number then you should find yourself a good DWI lawyer in Raleigh, NC to represent you.

Most of the time, DUI Raleigh police officers on the scene will give other types of tests such as: finger to nose test, walk and turn test, one legged stand, picking up a penny, counting backwards and reciting the alphabet.  If you fail any of these, you are possibly headed for having a criminal offense in Raleigh, NC on your record.

There are laws which are called “implied consent laws” which basically say that if you are driving in a particular state, whether it’s North Carolina or not, that you give consent to have someone administer state chemical testing to determine the alcohol in your blood. Of course, you can have a DWI lawyer in Raleigh, NC present at the time which is always suggested.  Be aware that according to DWI Raleigh laws, if you refuse to take the test you might have your license suspended or even revoked.

Chemical blood tests are not the only way that they perform DWI Raleigh intoxication tests.  There are other methods used for proof that the driver has been drinking.  Obviously, a good DWI lawyer in Raleigh, NC can help you with this, but other ways include:  driver’s statements, police statements, witness statements on the driver’s behavior and other evidence that could possibly make this a DUI offense in Raleigh, NC.

Driving is part of our everyday life.  Young and old alike drive to school and work as well and also socialize, run errands and drive to take vacations.  Obviously, having a license taken away can be devastating.
